All it takes is a little ambition...

Periodically, I try to convince longstrider to do something really interesting with his facial hair, like grow out his mustache in a Fu Manchu, or invest in some mustache wax.

But little did I know the heights of facial hair creativity one could aspire to - yes, with a bit of persistance and a lot of fixative, you too could compete in the World Beard Championships. (I shan't be competing this year - I seem to be cursed with a thin beard, although one of the less common side effects of pregnancy that they don't talk about is the sudden abundance of body hair. Sadly, even with such chemical enhancement, I still don't measure up)
