Jan. 6th, 2006 11:58 pmI have about five potential posts running through my head, but they all require thought and time and even some research, so they're on the back-burner while we wait for this damn tooth to come. We've reached the not-nearly-as-drooly-but-a-lot-more-whiny stage, so it should be breaking through any day now. In the meantime, yawn. Only 18 more after this. *weeps*
The plan for tomorrow is to start boxing up the study so we can turn it into a nursery. We didn't set it up before because we thought the house would sell and what was the point of rearranging half the house when we were just going to be moving soon anyway? But seven months later, that doesn't seem to be happening. And meanwhile, K's stuff is starting to eat our bedroom and she's about two inches way from outgrowing her bassinet. So it's time to make a room for her, mostly so I have a place to chuck her stuff when it annoys me. And maybe someday she'll start sleeping through the night so I won't feel the need to keep her next to me for convenience sake, I say hopefully.
So. Computer and smaller desk to the guest room, big desk taken apart and exiled to the attic, ditto the cradle, contents of shelves and closet boxed and atticked, bookcase to the bedroom, taller dresser to the nursery, desk in attic brought down to serve as changing table. Buy new filing cabinet and some sort of storage for toys. Get crib from R and J. Enjoy fact that we have friends who only intend to have one child. Consider getting new curtains for nursery, maybe even a rug? Rejoice in ability to walk through bedroom again.
