And just to update the status of my to-do list:

Finish Mom's shawl/weave in ends
Go to fabric store for fleece for the snap-in lining, snaps and buttons
Forget to get thread at the fabric store
Get thread on grocery run
Cut out, pin and sew fleece lining for shawl
Sew in buttons
Sew in snaps
Enjoy glow of accomplishment
Go on grocery run
Make assorted Christmas goodies
Go to store for last Christmas present
Fill out job application
Alter dress for the wedding (dubious)
Burn Christmas picture onto cd, take it to store and get Christmas cards printed (there was a snag, so we're still working on the last part. I guess we'll be sending out cards for Orthodox Christmas this year)
Buy stamps
Finalize address list/print out labels
Print out handy little "We're moving! Here's our address" cards
Hastily scrawl signature on Christmas cards, stuff in envelope, label, stamp and mail
(To do while in Michigan: get more complete list of longstrider's relatives addresses; send out second wave of cards)
Do my laundry
Do K's laundry
Wash diapers
Pack
Go to anime night
Don't forget to pick up strephon at the bus stop at an obscene hour of the night
Be filled with Christmas spirit

Not half bad, if I do say so myself. We still need to pack, and most of the rest of the undone tasks are held up because of the Christmas card snafu (it's a long and not particularly interesting story. Suffice to say, the self-help kiosks at the photo printing place aren't terribly helpful, as witnessed by the fact that they informed us that 40 Christmas cards were going to cost $317. It was a mistake, but it led to more problems that finally made us give up for the night).

We're heading up to my parents' tomorrow, and then further north on Christmas Eve. If I don't post before then, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and safe traveling.
