Chai dreams

There's been some sort of bizarre conspiracy the last two days to keep me from getting chai at Panera. We went there last night in Indianapolis for dinner, and I waited for about ten minutes while the espresso machine got fiddled with until the poor server finally gave me my money back and said that the espresso machine was absolutely refusing to work. Then tonight, our crazy work schedules caused us to decide to meet for dinner at Panera in Lafayette (yes, I know, not particularly creative, but longstrider wanted to go to the game night that's hosted there every Monday and it just seemed easier) and I decided to try for another chai. This time, I was told that they were out of chai mix.

So I walked down to Starbucks after dinner and finally got my chai there. And it tasted all the better for having defeated the International Chai Scarcity Conspiracy (tm).

Sonya just walked into the room carrying a toy mouse in her mouth and meeping for attention. She's just like a five-year-old wandering into the room dragging a teddy bear and looking for comfort. I have quite possibly the cutest kitty in the whole world.
