Due date + 3
Jun. 15th, 2005 11:59 pmStill pregnant. And getting a tad tired of it. Particularly when all of the ligaments on the left side of my stomach decided to spend all of last night aching.
Although if I'm going to continue to go late, I'm kind of hoping that Friedeswide will hold off until after Saturday afternoon so I can go see Howl's Moving Castle. Sadly, it's not playing in Lafayette, but it's worth the trip to Indianapolis to see it on the big screen. Of course, I'm sure my child is contrary enough that my water will wind up breaking Saturday morning or something like that, but I can hope at getting one last opportunity to go see a movie in the theatre.
Because I knew when I got pregnant that we would go a long time without being able to do things like go see movies. I was prepared for it. However, of all the movies coming out this year that I'd like to see, here's a list of the movies that came out before my due date:
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
And here's a list of the movies coming out after my due date:
Batman Begins (I have to admit, my first thought on seeing the preview was, "Oh thank goodness there aren't any nipples on the costume)
Howl's Moving Castle
Fantastic Four
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Brothers Grimm
The Corpse Bride (new Tim Burton stop-motion animation)
Wallace and Grommit
Harry Potter IV
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Serenity
Mirrormask
Now I ask you, given that they had six whole months to release a few more of these movies, does this seem fair?
Is it just me, or are movie release dates just a little bit lopsided? Sigh. But apparently movie executives are under the impression that people aren't interested in inside activities when it's cold out during the first four months. No, apparently we'd much rather be inside during the summer, when it's warm and stays light far into the evening.
